It started as a fluke. In '11 a video I made the day of my grandpapa's funeral, inspired by his values, won a competition. Off to TEDxBled.
Bled, Slovenia, not Slovakia. (I-go ex-Yugo, not ex-Czech, check). Bags packed! Challenge:Future here we go...
A talk on how food systems connect the world led to a new internal dialogue about how people connect around the world.
I took my own advice and Just Ask(ed!) C:F if they wanted to have this conversation together.
They said yes. Udoka said it was a first time her Nigerian accent wasn't the focus of a conversation. I say, it's a start.
But I am still making mistakes. Friends with cameras at tough moments (ahem) capture the learning, the growth. It's scarymazing.
With C:F, we are building a collaborative world. One where embracing diversity means exploring difference, not just naming similarity.
