A glimpse of the process the Creative Shower team follows to create a workshop.

Creative and workshop do not naturally go hand in hand. Here is how you can change this.

First you have to cross the chasm between you and your customers. Literally. Talk to them. See how they live. Observe. Ask. Question.

Next: Put everything you know on lots of post-its. Even seemingly unrelated things. Cluster and find the themes about topics and process.

Talk, discuss, agree, disagree, be emotional, come up with different versions, go back to the first one, disagree again, converge finally.

You now have the process and content planned. Write the facilitator's manual. Prepare for the unplanned. Add the fun part. Think over.

Prepare the scripts, materials, presentations and the final touches. Divide the responsibilities. Relax - the chances of success are 50/50.

Then give your best and the rest will follow. You have prepared so well that we can improvise successfully now and enjoy ourselves.
